is a full day of youth activities on April 6th, centered around Earth Day.
A Pre-K – 5th grade coloring contest on “Why I Love Planet Earth” will kick-off this event.
10 AM-4 PM - RCA’s ever popular Free Family Saturdays will be hosting an Earth Day project where all visitors throughout the day can participate.
10 AM-12 PM - In collaboration with Reliant, an NRG company, and Texas State Aquarium, families will get to learn about how the Texas State Aquarium has been instrumental in helping save the lives of countless injured or stranded animals. An outreach program will be included in our Earth Day Event at the Art Center. They will be at the Cener for a presentation. Click here to sign up.
1 PM-4 PM - An Art workshop and lecture will be held from 1-4pm by a local artist on creating art from found and recycled materials. All supplies and tuition are provided for this workshop and lecture free of charge thanks to Reliant, an NRG company.. Click here to sign up.
7:30 PM - The coloring contest winners will be announced. Representatives from Reliant, an NRG company and RCA will personally award the winners with a plaque.
