Rockport Center for the Arts is excited to announce our Young Filmmakers Production Program—and we’re looking for creative, curious, and motivated youth to join us!
🎬 About the Program
Students will learn the full filmmaking process—from brainstorming story ideas and writing scripts to operating cameras, directing scenes, and editing a final short film. No experience required—just enthusiasm and a willingness to collaborate!

Freshmen through Senior high school students
Love movies, storytelling, art, or technology
Enjoy working in teams
Are available for scheduled program dates
🗓️ Program Dates
· Preproduction: Sunday February 22 hosted at RCA. 10am-4pm. Lunch provided.
· Production: Monday March 9 on location. All day -lunch provided.
· Post production: Sunday May 3rd hosted at RCA. 10am-4pm. Lunch provided.
· Film premiere: Rockport Film Festival November 1st

Work with Film maker Matthew Thornton
Founder & Director, Griffyn. Co Productions, LLCLearn storytelling & production skills from writing the script to acting. Opportunities for behind and in front of camera participants.
Build confidence and creativity
Premiere their work for friends, family, and community!
