Ever wondered how to achieve the glow of sunsets in your oil paintings? In this two-day workshop, join award winning artist, Kelly Best Bourgeois to discover artistic and scientific reasons that make skies glow as the sun dips toward the horizon. The same principles also apply to sunrises. Bourgeois presents the topic in easy-to-understand ways that make this workshop fun, informative, and applicable for painters of all levels.
The Rockport Art Center will provide all necessary supplies, however if you have some favorite paint brushes, please bring them.
Photo references will be provided or feel free to bring your own.

About The instructor:
Inspired by the beauty and power of the natural world, Kelly Best Bourgeois began painting in childhood, later became a practicing physician, and has returned full time to her passion for art. Her paintings today, most of which are inspired by her plein air works and field studies, are influenced by the idea that our mighty yet fragile Earth is the common thread that binds all of life as we know it together.
