Class Description:
In this four-week class we will carve a sea turtle from foam, cover it with concrete, detail and paint it for a realistic final product.
Supplies are included.
About the Instructor:
Mike Kiefer is a sign maker, boat builder, craftsman, from South Haven, Michigan, Mike spent 25 years as a wooden boat builder with some of his boats appearing in the movie Pirates of the Caribbean. His lifelong interest in art led him into creative sign making. His desire to build 3 – D style signs steered him into sculpture. Mike creates wildlife sculpture, often life size, from foam armatures covered in fiber glass or concrete and realistically hand painted.
