Class Description:
Lecture and Demo with hands-on time for students to learn techniques for drawing without the use of a grid.
About the Instructor:
Tim Walker is best known for his “photorealistic” approach to drawing Walker's body of work reflects his Houston heritage and his interest in the ever‐changing contemporary American life. His portrait series resonates with an intimate and comprehensive style of rendering his subjects. Walker is a masterful self‐taught technical draftsman and illustrator. Walker set rigorous standards for himself to achieve the level of detail that won him numerous awards, scholarships, the nickname, “Sketchbook,” and the respect of his colleagues and institutions nationally. His professional practice includes painting, drawing, hand-drawn animation, and photography Currently, he devotes himself to the medium of oil painting, gracing the homes of private collections throughout Houston. Walker received a BS in Digital Media in 2017 from the University of Houston.
