Class Description:
In this class, we will be learning traditional hand coiled pottery. We will cover texture and carving surface treatments and how to use drape molds.
About the Instructor:
LeAnn Romines has a BFA from UT Austin in Visual Art Studies and an MEd in Art Education from Sul Ross State University. She taught high school art for 26 years and has been doing pottery for 30 years. In her professional work, her emphasis is hand coiled pottery and watercolor painting. Her work has been shown in galleries in the Big Bend area, the Southern Plains including a piece in the permanent collection at Eastern New Mexico State University, and at The Chicken Farm Art Center in San Angelo, Texas. Locally, her work can be seen at the Port Aransas Art Center.
