Zapatos Rojos

is a visual call to action. Each pair of red shoes represents a survivor or a life lost to sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking. Every pair of red shoes helps strengthen the message and visibility of this important cause.

RCA is partnering with ACMSI for this event. In honor of ACMSI There For YOU! Sexual Assault Awareness Month this April, Aransas County Medical Services Inc. (ACMSI) is bringing Elina Chauvet’s "Zapatos Rojos" (The Red Shoes) exhibition. Artist: Elina Chauvet uses red shoes as a powerful visual symbol to represent the voices and lives impacted by these heinous crimes.
