THREE INCREDIBLE CAMP THEMES MAKE FOR ONE ARTFUL SUMMER

Hands-on, educational experiences are free to Aransas County youth; limited spots remain

ROCKPORT, Texas (June 5, 2025) — Rockport Center for the Arts (RCA) is preparing to host nearly 500 kids during four weeks of its annual summer camps.

Designed to educate and inspire young minds, the weeklong, half-day camps, offering morning and afternoon sessions, provide hands-on, engaging and entertaining activities, including art, culinary and ballet. Camp attendance is free to Aransas County youth entering grades 1–8 in the 2025-26 school year. With the program’s increasing popularity, only limited spots now remain for the ArtSpace sessions.

“Since 1998, we have hosted summer camps as a benefit to our Aransas County residents,” said RCA Education Director Laura Vogel. “It’s part of the art center’s commitment to engage and enrich the community that has shown us so much support. Everyone benefits from exposure to the Arts, especially children who can explore their creative interests, find ways to express themselves, and perhaps discover a hidden talent. We max out attendance every year and are happy to do so.”

Attendees will participate in various camp activities based on age: ArtSpace (grades 1–2,  3–5, and 6–8); Young Chefs (grades 4-5 and 6–8); and Ballet Camp (grades 1–3 and 4–8); with the schedule as follows:

·         June 16–20         9:30 AM-12 PM OR 1:30-4 PM Session (ArtSpace and Young Chefs)

·         June 23–27         9:30 AM-12 PM OR 1:30-4 PM Session (ArtSpace and Young Chefs)

·         July 14–18           9:30 AM-12 PM OR 1:30-4 PM Session (ArtSpace, Ballet, and Young Chefs)

·         July 21–25           9:30 AM-12 PM OR 1:30-4 PM Session (ArtSpace and Young Chefs)

Ballet and Young Chefs Camps are full, but there are limited spots available for ArtSpace Camp. To register for a remaining spot, go online to rockportartcenter.com/summercamps, or call (361) 729-5519 for more information.
