V....Vaughan - Last Year on the Farm

A Plein Air Story of Change - Virginia Vaughan's solo exhibition "Last Year on the Farm" includes plein air paintings created over her last year on the family farm in Manor, Texas, which was sold to developers. Vaughan painted at least one image per day, and in some cases painted 24 paintings in 24 hours. Her project has caught the attention of Austin Monthly and Texas Country Reporter, who will air a special broadcast of Vaughan's story in May.

Vaughan's exhibition has shown at the Great Plains Art Museum in Lincoln, Nebraska and will travel to the Gadsden Museum of Art in Gadsden, Alabama after showing at Rockport Center for the Arts. Vaughan currently teaches a plein air painting workshop at the Art Center and has painted and shown her work all over the country, receiving awards from organizations such as the Society of Master Impressionists.

Vaughan maintains a daily blog at her website where you can view her latest plein air works and exhibition updates,
