About the Class:
At sunset (and sunrise!) the full-color-spectrum is on display! It's also in constant flux: a moving target for plein air painters! Join V.... Vaughan for a full-moonrise capture of color and learn her unique process of painting as it changes!
This is quite a UNIQUE exercise, you'll find only with V.... Vaughan! Usually lasting less than 3 hours but offering a complete study of LIGHT, color and how they work!
Begin this workshop with a demonstration of the moonrise at sunset on the first day and follow up at the same location the following morning at Sunrise to paint the moonset!
About the Instructor:
Lifelong Texan, V…. Vaughan is an award-winning, lifelong artist. She got her start creating logos and materials for her siblings’ businesses; worked in advertising, as art director, illustrator, designer and cartoonist, then began directing her own projects. While raising three children along with her husband on the family farm, she created art that focused on concentrations of multiple works. Her themes have included Texas, sports, farmscapes and wildlife, in a range of styles. She’s shared her art passion as a high school art teacher and professional workshop instructor for 30+ years.
Now a full-time painter, she draws upon her lifetime of varied creative pursuits to mentor other artists. Every year she leads an art retreat in France, located in a 12th century castle where students create, study and explore villages nearby.
