Maria Nesbit is a local Rockport Freelance photographer and owner of Maria Nesbit Photography Studio and Gallery. Nesbit is originally from Veracruz, Mexico where she got her Bachelors degree in Business Administration at the University of Cristobal Colon. Nesbit relocated to Rockport in 1988 where she has been ever since. Her favorite quote about photography is “ Taking pictures is savoring life intensely, every hundredth of a second” by Marc Riboud. Nesbit states “ This is exactly how I feel when I am taking a photo: it is the act of aligning your outer senses with your inner feelings; as you hold your breath for an instant, you capture an image that portrays your very soul.”
