Can’t draw a stick figure? This class is for you!
Join professional artist Michelle Cyr for a refreshing, no-pressure oil painting experience designed for complete beginners—no drawing skills required.
Choose your own image to paint.
No paint-along scenes here. You’ll paint a meaningful image of your choice. Image must be submitted no later than January 31st. If you register after this date, an image will be chosen for you.
You’ll learn how to see like an artist by breaking down shapes and colors. One-on-one attention.
What’s included:
🕒 5 hours of classroom instruction
🎨 All supplies including color reference image
👩🎨 Peaceful studio setting including easels.
🖼 Professionally prepared aluminum panel (AKA canvas)
🍽 45 min lunch break, please bring your own.
🖌 Open studio days available if you do not complete your painting.
👩🏼🏫 1:1 guidance on how to see and paint your reference image.
You’ll leave this class with a painting in progress or complete, a new creative spark, and the confidence to keep going. No pressure, no perfection—just the joy of creating something that’s completely yours. 🫶🏻
About the Instructor:
Michelle Cyr is a full-time professional oil painter known for her realistic, emotionally driven paintings of hands. She loves teaching beginners how to paint without pressure or perfection, focusing instead on seeing, confidence, and enjoying the process. Her workshops are designed for people who’ve always wanted to paint but never thought they could.
