Class Description:
Water & Wool: Crafting 3D Felted Vessels
This workshop is a hands-on introduction to wet felting with a resist. You’ll learn the fundamental techniques of wool layout, layering, and embellishing to create a one-of-a-kind sculptural piece. Wet felting is a rhythmic, physical process. By applying water, soap, and agitation, you’ll transform loose wool fibers into a durable, integrated fabric. Using a "resist" (an internal template), you’ll learn how to build hollow, 3D shapes. It’s a bit of a workout, but the stunning, professional results are worth every drop of soapy water!
Note: This is a "wet" class! Please wear comfortable clothes that can get a little damp.
Skill Level: Beginner
