Class description:

Getting beyond the basics, we’ll take about composition, color, mark making as well as practical things like types of painting  surfaces and how to prep, types of acrylic paints and mediums, and the finishing steps of painting- varnishing and hanging hardware.

Every week I’ll bring in a painting as an illustration of different aspects of painting that we’ll be talking about. We will work on a new painting every week.

Supply list:

Good quality acrylic paints:  Liquitex, Nova, Golden preferred or bring what you have in the colors noted.  Colors required: Pyrrole red, Cad Yellow Medium, Pthalo Blue, Magenta, White

Your favorite brushes

A canvas for each week, 16 X 20 recommended

Paper towels

Smock or apron to protect your clothing.
