Project: Mixed Media Accordion Collage

Join collagemaker Kelly Schaub as she creates a multi-layered mixed media accordion collage.

Join us LIVE Online on Thursday afternoons to learn new techniques and media with our wonderful teaching artists. This programming is designed for you to “paint alongside” a working artist, or to simply sit back and enjoy watching an artist at work (or play!) If you would like to “paint along” please gather the below supplies in advance. Happy creating at home until we can meet in person once again!

Supply List:

Supply List Use what you already have around the house – don’t go out and buy anything special

Things that I will be using during this demo/class:
*140 lb cold press watercolor paper – 12”x18”
Metal ruler
Bone folder
*Any kind of matte or gloss medium or gel medium or glue
Paintbrush for medium/glue
Water container
*Papers (any kind – from magazines, newspapers, books, scrapbook paper, etc)
*Acrylic paints and inks – assorted – nothing fancy – craft paints work fine
Brayer
Old hotel key card or credit card or plastic putty knife
*Ink stamp pad
Tissue paper
All sorts of mark-making tools and materials
Rubber stamps
Stencils
Bubble wrap
Plastic wrap
Random texture/design-making items (i.e. forks, bottle caps, etc)
Q-tips
Pipecleaners or feathers or straws
Paint pens
Natural sponge
White-out pen
China marker/grease pencil
Charcoal Pastels
Watersoluble crayons
Any of your favorite art supplies – we will be making lots of luscious layers!
Scissors
*Baby wipes
*Paper towels
Something to protect your work surface – it will get messy!!!
Hair dryer or heat gun to speed the drying process between layers
Workable fixative
