Hotel Occupancy Tax fund projection for 2010 is down and as a result the City is considering cuts of up to 77% for such organizations as the Art Center of Corpus Christi and the Art Museum of South Texas as well as others.
The Art Center welcomed internationally acclaimed sculptors Jesus Moroles and Kent Ullberg for a discussion and reception, drawing a large, enthusiastic crowd.
Texas State Artist Dalhart Windberg conducted a free painting demo sponsored by the Art Center on Thursday, May 14. Spectators filled the large classroom to catch a glimpse of Windberg working on a canvas.

Winners in the statewide juried collegiate exhibition Rising Eyes of Texas were announced Saturday, March 7, at the opening reception. Also awarded were regional high school and local middle school awards, including the Susie Love Scholarship for a graduating senior.
