Art Auction Gala

The Annual Art Auction and Dinner will be held on Friday evening, July 6, 2007. This year's theme is 'Birds in Paradise' and guests will be treated to a live auction of fine art, a silent auction, a big board auction, and a wonderful auction of 'bird' art. There will be original bird paintings, pillows, hand-painted glasses, bird houses, and more! Time: 6:30 PM - 10:30 PM Entertainment: Bobby Hesch, jazz saxophonist You begin your evening with valet parking on the festival grounds. In addition to the auctions, there will be a sumptuous buffet dinner, open bar and live art demonstrations. Enjoy the evening by wearing summer fun attire. $100 per person; tables for 8 are $800 and reserved tables for 10 are $1,500. Call 361 729-5519 to make reservations.
2007 Rockport Art Festival

Rockport is synonymous with art. The best way to see it all and have an opportunity to purchase incredible paintings and art objects is to attend the Art Auction Dinner and the Rockport Art Festival held each year on the weekend closest to the 4th of July. The dinner is one of Rockport's premiere social activities where exceptional art and experiences such as dinners, vacation getaways, fishing adventures and more can be bid on. For those with a sense of adventure, the live auction of paintings from many of Rockport's finest artists will raise your heart rate! This evening prepares the way for our 2-day Art Festival, which has been held for 37 years. Over 125 artists and master craftsmen participate in this juried show that draws thousands of visitors year after year. People travel from all over Texas and neighboring states in search of just the right object of art in the best outdoor venue right on the bay.
