Rockport is synonymous with art. The best way to see it all and have an opportunity to purchase incredible paintings and art objects is to attend the Art Auction Dinner and the Rockport Art Festival held each year on the weekend closest to the 4th of July. The dinner is one of Rockport's premiere social activities where exceptional art and experiences such as dinners, vacation getaways, fishing adventures and more can be bid on. For those with a sense of adventure, the live auction of paintings from many of Rockport's finest artists will raise your heart rate! This evening prepares the way for our 2-day Art Festival, which has been held for 37 years. Over 125 artists and master craftsmen participate in this juried show that draws thousands of visitors year after year. People travel from all over Texas and neighboring states in search of just the right object of art in the best outdoor venue right on the bay.
