Copper Electroforming
Electroforming is the process of using electricity to bond objects with metal ions, in this case copper. Each electroformed piece takes 12 to 24 hours to create. In this 2 day class you will learn the science and art behind copper electroforming, creating a ring and pendant, 2 stones provided.
Ages 18+ It is recommended that those with copper allergies should not take this class.
About the Instructor:
Since 2010 she has worked to create eclectic and functional costume pieces. Along with her expertise in lapidary work she has incorporated her love of copper electroforming.
Her inspiration comes from art genres such as steampunk, post-apocalyptic, absurdist, macabre & memento mori.
She credits her necessitous upbringing with her ability to see the value in what others discard and hopes to influence others to live more sustainably through her work.
